Context and mission

‍‍
The founder of Cineat: Gabriel, reached out to me to design an MVP for him so his engineers can start building ASAP in other. They were looking for someone fresh in the game so i offered my friendly services.

Cineat made this happen by offering competitive pricing on the app, to moviegoers.

Competitive Analysis

An audit of a few competitor’s products provided gaps and opportunity to address with the Cineat app. With this analysis, I found that there are currently solutions for ordering snacks in cinemas.  However, all of these websites are very specific to picking up from the concession section.  Cineat not only provides pickup options, it also provides delivery and tracking option.

User Flow

Based on the findings from the user research and some brainstorming session, i came up with a user flow diagram to identify the essential features of the project.

Wireframing and Prototyping

Once the user flow received approval, I utilized Figma to design detailed screens that seamlessly integrated the essential functions outlined in the user flow. This approach successfully unified all the product's features, resulting in a coherent and user-friendly experience.

By actively involving stakeholders and seeking their ideas, I ensured that the final product not only fulfilled the requirements but also exceeded the expectations of all parties. This collaborative process streamlined development and delivered a final product that was both cohesive and centered around the needs of the users.

Mockup

First, I focused on crafting the user experience before transitioning to the visual design phase. In order to maintain consistency, Cineat - Snack Ordering App adopted the same visual style as the main Cinema Ticket App. The prior development of the Cinema Ticket App UI Kit greatly facilitated the creation of the snack app's final design.

By leveraging the established visual style of the main product, the snack app's design not only adheres to the overall brand guidelines but also ensures a consistent user experience. This approach enhanced the efficiency of the design process and ultimately produced a unified and harmonious final product.
